As a global digital-first company, we needed documented guidelines for new employees, agencies we work with, and anyone at the company creating assets to represent the Zendesk brand. Looking at something and deciding if it is or isn't on brand is easy for a designer very familiar with a brand. But with so many people creating assets for Zendesk, we needed to reduce vagueness and ambiguity and state specific rules as clearly as possible.
We needed to make examples to illustrate what to do and not to do, so we audited each discipline to collect the most common errors snd issues so that we could create guidelines around them.
